- Profile information: Role (Property Manager or Tenant), company name, and other profile details
- Property information: Property addresses, unit details, and related property data
- Lease information: Lease terms, rent amounts, security deposit amounts, lease dates, and tenant details
- Tenant application information: Employment history, rental history, references, and other information submitted during the application process
- Reference information: Landlord references and related correspondence collected on behalf of Tenants
- Electronic signatures: Digital signatures applied to lease documents
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Service
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
- Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs
2.3 Information Collected by Third Parties
When Landlords set up payment processing through Stripe, Stripe may collect additional identity verification and financial information directly from users in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy policy. This information is collected and processed by Stripe, not by Indigo Lease.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
- Facilitate lease creation, document signing, and property management
- Enable payment processing connections between Landlords and Stripe
- Send transactional emails, including lease invitations, signing notifications, and payment confirmations
- Facilitate landlord reference requests on behalf of Tenants
- Improve and personalize the Service
- Respond to your requests, comments, or questions
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between Landlords and Tenants: Information necessary to facilitate the landlord-tenant relationship, such as contact details, lease terms, and payment status, is shared between parties to a lease
- With Landlord references: Tenant information may be shared with previous landlords to facilitate reference collection
- Service providers: We share information with third-party providers that help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database hosting), AWS (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing), and analytics providers
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security policies in our database, and secure authentication mechanisms. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
